We’re passionate about helping you and your dog learn and grow
Meet Courtney
My name is Courtney and I'm the proud owner and head trainer of Canine Control. I’ve been a professional dog trainer for 14 years. I’ve done everything from teach puppy classes, to compete in K9 Nosework & Competition Obedience, to successfully owning/operating multiple full-service dog training businesses. I specialize in correcting problem behaviors like reactivity, stealing food, separation anxiety, leash pulling, escaping, etc.
I also have substantial experience working with severely behaviorally challenged dogs. Ranging from truly aggressive to extremely fearful, without my help, many of these dogs would have been put down. This experience has prepared me to successfully handle and work with even the most extreme cases.
After spending time in California handling working canines, I came back to the east coast to work as the head trainer for Solid K9 in Rhode Island, eventually following the business to Florida. After an amicable parting of ways, I am back in my native Massachusetts, ready to work with and serve the communities where I grew up.
What we do
At Canine Control we know that every dog is capable of being a highly trained pet dog. Appropriate enrichment, positive reinforcement of baseline obedience commands, and education on how to use tools for more advanced obedience is the key to success.
In our programs we offer a variety of weekly sessions. The most important aspect in all of this, is you building a stronger working relationship with your dog! You will see that when you put in the work, your dog will make huge strides in training. It will be amazing watching your dog grow into a model citizen. Whether you’re struggling with a dog who is barking and lunging at other dogs (or people); or you just dream of having a highly trained dog - you’ve come to the right trainer! With your dedication to our program, we can accomplish your goals.
